Administers treatments and physical agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of staff RCNA, PTA, PTLA, etc. The staff therapist participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Ensures that patient changes are accurate and entered on a timely basis. Participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs. Qualifications EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy and currently licensed as a Physical Therapist in the State of Massachusetts. Ability to speak, read and write English. Ability to follow written and oral directions. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year clinical experience serving the same age/population mix as served by this facility. Demonstrated competency in identified areas of specialization, with knowledge of application of Medicare and other reimbursement regulations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
