Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, primarily on acute care telemetry monitored floors. The role involves assisting patients with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and supporting the nursing team to ensure quality patient care. Experience in acute care and telemetry settings is preferred, with flexibility to work both 8-hour and 12-hour shifts during days and nights. Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with routine activities of daily living including hygiene, feeding, ambulation, and positioning.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and report changes to nursing staff.
• Support telemetry monitoring and perform duties related to patient safety and comfort.
• Perform clerical duties such as answering unit phones and documenting patient care.
• Assist with specimen collection and preparation for diagnostic tests.
• Provide support during emergency situations as directed by nursing staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of patient rooms and equipment.
• May perform sitter duties as required.

• Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred in acute care settings, especially telemetry monitored floors.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR certification at hire.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Experience working on telemetry or medical/surgical units.
• Ability to work effectively in both day and night shifts.

• May be required to work as a sitter.
• Combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts.
• Work environment includes acute care and telemetry monitored floors.
