Job Details Job Location: Evangelical Home Saline - Saline, MI 48176 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Job Shift: Day Job Category: Health Care Job Purpose The Laundry Aide at EHM Senior Solutions is responsible for ensuring that all laundry services are provided in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. The role is crucial to maintaining the hygiene and comfort of residents by delivering clean and well‑maintained linens and garments. Key Responsibilities Collect, sort, and wash laundry items including linens, towels, and residents' personal clothing. Operate laundry machines and equipment safely and efficiently. Ensure proper handling of laundry chemicals and detergents according to safety guidelines. Inspect laundered items for cleanliness and damage, and report any issues to the supervisor. Fold, organize, and distribute clean laundry to designated areas and residents. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and equipment. Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying the supervisor of any shortages. Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Provide exceptional service to residents and staff by responding promptly to laundry‑related requests and concerns. Qualifications Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Required Experience: Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required. Experience working in a healthcare or senior living environment is advantageous. Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently. Strong attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and proper handling of garments. Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods. Excellent communication skills to interact with residents and staff professionally. Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
