Description:We are seeking a Physician specializing in Hematology and Oncology. The role involves providing care primarily in an outpatient setting. The schedule is Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Occasional night and weekend call is included. The practice is supportive and collegial. The target patient load is an average of 10-15 patients per day. There is an onsite genetic counselor and a weekly tumor board. The practice encompasses a mixture of employed providers and advanced practice providers. Staff includes registered nurses, navigators, pharmacists, and clerical staff. Comprehensive assessments are performed by registered nurses for roomed patients. Triage nurses handle all incoming clinical calls. The facility maintains high accreditation standards for oncology programs. The rounding of inpatient cases is typically managed by advanced practice providers. Patients are admitted by a hospitalist group and oncology is consulted as necessary. The site primarily focuses on outpatient care, with no inductions performed. Applicants must be comfortable with the patient load and settings described.
