Job Summary and Qualifications

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed MRI Technologist to provide magnetic resonance imaging services to patients performing procedures in a compassionate and respectful manner.   Under the direction of a radiologist, you will:

• Demonstrate a strong and thorough knowledge of all MRI and associated equipment and obtain high-quality MR images assuring only optimal films are submitted for interpretation
• Facilitate the MRI procedure by selecting proper technical factors/techniques to accommodate all patients and select, prepare and administer the appropriate contrast material
• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated
• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist
• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies
• Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Registered Technologist by the American Registry or Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• ARRT (MR) required
• Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)
• Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to MRI
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, sterile technique and patient positioning techniques specific to MRI
• Knowledge of safety practices relative to radiation safety, hazardous material and infection control policies
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, computer, clerical and grammar/spelling skills
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructions
