Production Planning Specialist

Baxter seeks a Production Planning Specialist in Batesville, Indiana to develop and maintain production schedules that balance manufacturing resources, inventory, and material availability. The role bridges production, materials, sourcing, and distribution functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on delivering medical products globally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules to meet domestic and international customer demand while optimizing resources
• Manage raw material work orders, track status daily, and coordinate with cross-functional teams
• Review and revise production schedules in response to design changes, shortages, or operational interruptions
• Monitor inventory levels, supermarket management, and system master data accuracy
• Analyze on-time delivery performance, identify root causes, and lead corrective actions

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree preferred
• 1–2+ years production control experience or related scheduling/procurement background
• In-depth understanding of MRP and DRP processes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with JDE or Maestro systems
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of fabrication and multi-level BOM structures desirable
• U.S. work authorization required; visa sponsorship unavailable

Compensation: $54,400–$68,000 annually
