Hospitalist Physician Opportunity

We are seeking dedicated and collaborative Hospitalists to join our team at Sentara Obici Hospital, a 175-bed state-of-the-art facility, located on Godwin Boulevard in Suffolk, VA. Our full-service hospital continues a legacy of providing residents of Western Tidewater with high-quality, patient-centered care.

The Hospitalist Physician provides inpatient medical care to the adult patient population, working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to support quality, safety, and efficient patient flow.

Position Highlights:

• Day Hospitalist
• Shifts: Part Time 16 hours/week
• Admissions: Rotational and evenly distributed amongst all providers
• No procedures required
• ICU Model: Open with critical care support in person 7a-7p, eICU remote support from 7p-7a
• Vent management support by critical care team

• Nocturnist
• Shift: Part Time 16 hours/week
• Coverage Model: Based on staff availability currently utilizing in-house MD and APPs. Only as last option eHub

• Care Model
• Patient Census: Average Daily Census 16
• APP Support: Yes, only with admissions but hiring APPs to support rounding patients

Qualifications:

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Eligible (IM or FM), Certification must be obtained within 5 years of eligibility
• Eligible for licensure and credentialing in Virginia
