Job Description Job Title: CNC Machine Operator - Floater-Mini Shift Job Location: Aiken, SC Working Pattern: (Full Time) Working Shift - Mini-Shift - Friday-Sunday, 5:45am-6:15pm. What you will be doing: With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to: Assemble sub-systems and cubic engine components using various tools, gauges, devices, Loctite, liquid nitrogen, lubricants, and specialized equipment. Operate CNC HELLER machining centers with Siemens 840D controllers according to instructions, routings, control plans, production requirements, and diagrams. Read, study, and interpret blueprints, machining/assembly instructions, specifications manuals, job orders, routings, and control plans to determine sequences of operations, setups, and requirements. Compile workpieces, components, and materials per specifications; inspect, document, and report defects. Select appropriate materials and tooling required for machining and assembly of cubic engine components. Position and align components for assembly into larger mounting elements and verify part clearances. Perform leak testing and functional testing of parts and assemblies using multiple processes and technologies. . Position Qualifications: 2 years in a mechanical, maintenance, or machining trade school or equivalent Associate’s Degree; or 5 years of experience in a heavy-duty machining environment Ability to work any shift and overtime as required. “Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.” Preferred qualifications: Intermediate knowledge of CNC-controls (preferred SIEMENS 840 D Controllers) machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance Intermediate ability to interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) and operate scanning devices for system communications Intermediate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills where problems are complex Experience as a CNC milling operator and with SIEMANS 840D Control System Knowledge of MTU products, policies and procedures Work Conditions: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
