Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Hours/Week: 48 hours

Employment Type: Contract

Licenses/Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIH (CPI available at facility)

Experience: Minimum 2 years ICU experience, Epic experience required

What You'll Do

• Provide ICU nursing care to neuro/stroke, vascular, and general surgical patients
• Float between Step-Down ICU (SCU), Neuro ICU (NCU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), and occasionally to the Emergency Department to care for critically admitted patients
• Manage ventilator settings, cranial drains, ICP monitoring, lumbar drains, and other special equipment
• Perform post-op neurosurgical procedures, including craniotomies and multi-level back surgeries
• Administer medications, perform NIH evaluations, and manage invasive lines (A-lines, central lines)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient recovery and safety

What You Need

• Valid RN license in the state of Louisiana
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience with limited neuro experience
• Must have ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIH certifications (CPI can be obtained at the facility for $100)
• Proficiency with vents, ICP management, and critical care procedures
• Ability to float across multiple ICU units and to the ED as needed
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
