Prepared Food Lead

Position Summary As a Prepared Foods and Café Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates who create and serve meals to our members—giving them more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Prepared Foods and Café and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. What you'll do Be a Team Leader: Supervises the team within all prepared foods departments (e.g., café, rotisserie, and prepared foods) by facilitating rotations through different fresh areas and managing members’ needs to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club. Communicates department goals, executes company programs, adheres to policies, and advocates for the member, the associate, and the company. Be an Expert: Maintains in‑depth knowledge of business on the floor and backroom operations, ensuring the prepared foods area meets company and regulatory standards for quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety, and compliance. Manages seasonality in terms of production, understanding new products, recipes, processes, and production specifications, prioritizing time between areas. Collaborates with associates and third parties, ensuring the team has resources, shares knowledge, and trains the team. Be a Techie: Leverages digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Utilizes handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality, adopting new tools and encouraging others to use them. Be an Owner: Drives business results, ensuring commitment to operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a neat, clean, and safe work area, ensuring appropriate staffing, accurate audits and compliance, producing and displaying merchandise per the layout plan, engaging with other departments and third‑party partners to ensure operational continuity. Be a Talent Ambassador: Trains the team, identifies training needs, provides and develops necessary skills, encourages career growth, and sources new talent internally and externally. Communicates and implements processes to meet business needs, monitors progress and results, identifies improvement opportunities, and supports compliance with company policies and ethical standards. Compensation The hourly wage range is $23.00 to $31.00 per hour. Additional premium compensation may range from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Minimum Qualifications 6 months experience in a fresh production department or 6 months experience supervising a team. Must be 18 years of age or older.
