Financial Services Representative (Bilingual Spanish)

The Financial Services Representative serves as the bank's front-line customer service associate and is responsible for creating a welcoming environment and good impression for our customers. Key job functions include account and service origination, handling teller transactions, as well as responding to customer inquiries by telephone and in person.

Essential duties and responsibilities include serving customers in opening new accounts for commercial and consumer clients, having knowledge of bank products in order to make recommendations on products and services based on customer needs, assisting in consumer loan applications and closings in applicable markets, performing all teller duties including all client transactions, maintaining and balancing a cash drawer, serving as a team member to accomplish company objectives and personal goals, providing outstanding customer service for lobby and phone requests, researching and resolving client problems, acting as the customer liaison between other bank departments, following up with the client to assure resolution, developing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients, actively participating in training programs to maintain and acquire additional job knowledge and skills, assisting in opening and closing the branch, following procedures set by corporate security, complying with all department and company policies, procedures, audit guidelines, and regulations, and performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications include strong math and problem solving skills, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to cross-sale products and services, maintaining confidentiality of client transactions and bank records, team-oriented, possessing a positive attitude and work well with others, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to operate standard office equipment, ability to prioritize; handle multiple tasks; and work independently, strong organizational skills and detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy, thorough knowledge of bank operations, products, and services offered at the bank, knowledge of banking laws and regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act.

Education and/or experience include a high school diploma or equivalent, an associate's degree in business related field or two years related experience or a combination of education and experience, experience working in an environment with individual and team goals preferred, customer service experience required, skilled in operation of a personal computer, including Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Suite IBS Salesforce.
