ICU Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

Assignment Details
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week for 3×12s or 48 hours/week for 4×12s

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years ICU nursing experience
- Valid Illinois nursing license required at the time of submission
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH/NIHSS
- Experience with CRRT/CVVHD management, hypothermia protocols, IABP management, endotracheal intubation assistance, and ventilator care
- Preferred experience in post-cardiac surgery care and Swan/PA catheter management
- Experience with EPIC charting

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
- Monitor and document patient status and response to treatments.
- Administer medications and manage IV infusions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assist with various procedures and interventions, adhering to hospital protocols.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-treatment care.

Compliance / Notes
- No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius.
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; Flu vaccine required (with exemptions allowed).
- RTO: No RTO first week; max 7 days RTO per 13-week contract.
- Facial hair must allow proper fit testing (may be required to shave).
- Free parking available.
