Are you looking to build a long-term career in welding and fabrication? We are looking for a fabricator/welder for our 2nd shift start ASAP!

Schedule

2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM-12:00 AM

Occasional Saturday overtime may be available during peak production periods.

What You'll Do

• Assist in the fabrication of custom metal display components

• Learn and develop MIG welding skills through hands-on training

• Perform MIG welds on production parts after training and qualification

• Operate punch press equipment to form and shape materials

• Grind, prepare, and finish metal components

• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions

• Work with metal, plastic, and wood components used in custom displays

• Support assembly, packaging, and shipment of finished products

• Collaborate with a team of skilled fabricators and welders

• Follow safety procedures and quality standards throughout the production process

What We're Looking For

• Welding school education, welding coursework, or basic MIG welding experience

• Ability to read blueprints or willingness to learn

• Interest in developing a career in welding and fabrication

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Reliable attendance and positive attitude

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Welding certification or ability to obtain certification

• Previous welding, fabrication, manufacturing, or shop experience

• Experience using hand tools, grinders, or fabrication equipment

Physical Requirements

• Stand for most of the shift

• Frequently lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs

• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and move throughout the workday

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing and welding environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belvidere, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
