We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility setting. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to residents with a variety of functional needs.
This position is ideal for a COTA who enjoys working with the geriatric population and thrives in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans as established by the Occupational Therapist
- Assist residents with therapeutic activities to improve ADLs, mobility, strength, coordination, and safety
- Document patient progress, treatment sessions, and outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Communicate effectively with the therapy team, nursing staff, and other interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment
- Follow all facility policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines
Qualifications
- CurrentCertified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Experience in long-term care or SNF setting preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
