Job Description: Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading process development efforts, designing and implementing manufacturing processes, and collaborating on product development. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing engineering and a hands-on approach to improve production efficiency and support new product introductions.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts including process development, tooling, and equipment setup.
• Design and implement manufacturing processes, fixtures, and tooling for clutch assemblies and components.
• Support machine setup, programming, and optimization across CNC equipment, presses, and related machinery.
• Evaluate and improve production efficiency, output rates, and labor routings within ERP systems.
• Develop and document work instructions, assembly processes, and manufacturing standards.
• Oversee tooling design, fabrication, and installation to support production.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and suppliers to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturability.
• Reverse engineer existing components and create detailed drawings/models for manufacturing.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) from concept through production.
• Contribute to design for manufacturability (DFM), material selection, and product optimization.
• Partner with Sales on product applications and customer-specific solutions.
• Support testing and validation of new assemblies and components.
• Manage engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, ECNs, and routings.
• Serve as a technical liaison to suppliers regarding component design and materials.
• Support facility equipment, infrastructure, and external contractor coordination as needed.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment.
• Experience with reverse engineering and component design recreation.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machining, presses, tooling, and metal fabrication.
• Proven experience being involved in the full process of making products (not just design).
• Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Experience with BOMs, routings, and ERP systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with automated machinery, gearboxes, or similar mechanical systems preferred.
• Experience in heavy equipment, automotive, or industrial machinery manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma principles.
• Strong understanding of DFM, tolerance, and assembly processes.

This is a Permanent position based out of Mount Prospect, IL.

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Mount Prospect,IL.

This position is anticipated to close on Jun 2, 2026.
