Job Summary Dominion Energy Generation Station Projects is seeking a Project Manager for Power Generation Fleet Capital Projects. This position supports the project management team and manages capital projects from conception to completion. Experience required with major power plants and equipment including but not limited to turbines, generators, pumps, motors, control systems, electrical/instrumentation, operations, and other balance‑of‑plant systems. Candidates must be highly motivated, able to work with minimum supervision, and have effective verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must be able to qualify for work in the field including confined space, climbing stairs and ladders, wearing a respirator, and other field tasks. Responsibilities Manage multiple major projects generally between $500K‑$150M (major capital improvement projects, new construction, outage support) Oversee site safety, environmental, and construction requirements in accordance with Dominion Energy policy and local/state regulations Ensure all elements of the Contractor Safety Program are met and monitor safety on projects Obtain appropriate permits; ensure contractor compliance with site environmental guidelines and obtain advance approval from the site Environmental Compliance Coordinator for materials and chemicals prior to allowing them onsite Develop and manage the station’s 8‑year Capital Project Plan, including business cases, project request forms, and estimates Accountable for project success, customer satisfaction, and technical project execution and delivery Manage project risk through collaboration with the project team and customer Oversee scoping, planning, estimating, scheduling, resource planning, and procurement activities for all station projects including integration with non‑project work during major outages Ensure all required construction permits are utilized, including but not limited to Digging/Drilling/Cutting, Welding/Flame, Confined Space, and Rigging/Lifting Coordinate engineering resources by working proactively with Power Generation Engineering and external engineering as necessary to complete projects in a technically responsible fashion Maintain a comprehensive, current scope of work and division of responsibility for all vendor and Dominion scopes Support the development, implementation, and management of contracts with suppliers and contractors for material procurement and project resources Maintain project information in the electronic repository Coordinate and communicate commissioning activities, engineering processes, and field troubleshooting Ensure turnover documentation, drawings, specifications, and training guides are provided to station management Lead development and management of specific portions of project budget and schedule Qualifications The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following: 7‑8+ years of industry experience in construction, engineering, finance, and/or management with a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated project management experience Demonstrated experience in project management, relevant technologies, and leadership in the assigned project areas Strong team building skills and ability to effectively lead teams toward project goals and milestones Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities Ability to develop, manage and monitor project performance to ensure results meet project requirements and schedules Ability to coordinate the resolution of technical problems and implement changes Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff Ability to represent the project and the company in public forums Education Requirements Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of a preferred level of education: Bachelor. Preferred disciplines: Project Management, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business. Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
