Food Preparation Aide

Encompass Health seeks a Food Preparation Aide to support nutritious, safe meal service for patients in our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. In this role, you’ll prepare, portion, and assemble meals according to menus and prescribed diets, supporting patients recovering from stroke, brain or spinal cord injury, and other serious conditions. You’ll follow strict food safety, sanitation, and infection-control standards while maintaining clean, well-stocked prep and dishwashing areas. Working closely with dietary, nursing, and therapy teams, you’ll help ensure meals support clinical goals and a positive, patient-centered experience.
