Head Housekeeper OpportunityA dynamic family in Brookline, MA, a suburb of Boston, is seeking a fantastic head housekeeper to assist in the care of their large home. The schedule for this role is either Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday- one weekend day will be required. The hours during the week can be flexible (8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, or 10am-6pm), and the hours on the weekend are 10am-6pm. The family is ideally looking for a local candidate, but they will consider relocating for the perfect fit. If relocating, then a history of longevity with families is required for consideration.ResponsibilitiesAll care of a 9000 square foot home at a five star levelSupervise 2 additional housekeepersDaily upkeep and tidying- keeping the home continually reset throughout the dayDeep cleaning on a schedule to maintain the home at the highest levelImplement and maintain organizational systems across closets (secondary), bathrooms, pantries, storage areas, and utility spaces.Household laundry, including pressing/ironing sheets, linens, and understanding care of high end clothing and fabricsWorking alongside other staff, including other housekeepers, a chef, and several nanniesPerform evening turndown in accordance with the Principals' preferencesReport directly to the estate managerMaintain household inventory including cleaning supplies, consumables, and organizational itemsProcess packages daily, handle returns, and ensure proper placement or storage of incoming itemsQualificationsExcellent team playerAttention to detailAbility to read a room, discretion, and knowing when to step out or fade into the backgroundExperience working in high end luxury households with exceptional attention to detail and extensive knowledge of how to care for high end materials - i.e. cashmere drapes, silk, marble, hardwood floors etc.Experience and willingness to assist with serviceExperience with laundry and ironing/pressing linensRequirementsUS work authorizationTech savvy- the team uses apps for checklists and communicationExperience in and ability to lead a team of housekeepersWilling to follow a household dress codeAble to work around and with the family dogWilling to work scheduled holidays (with holiday pay)Salary and Benefits$45-48/hr.Full benefits including health insurance
