The Whisper program is a large Antenna based RF Transmission and receiving network project. We use command and control software to remotely control multiple systems worldwide.Responsibilities : Perform Linux server Administration and maintenanceSystem development, lifecycle upgrades, server monitoring and patchingAssist with all or part of the following: system application design, code development, testing, code maintenance.Basic Qualifications: This position is open as a dual level opportunity. We will consider candidates at a level 3 or level 4:Based on your overall experience, education, years of experience, fit to the position, and interview evaluation will determine which level you are selected for.Level 3 bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience OR a master’s and 3 years’ experience OR a High School diploma / equivalent with 9 years’ experience may be considered in lieu of degreeLevel 4: Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience OR a master’s and 6 years’ experience OR a High School diploma / equivalent with 12 years’ experience may be considered in lieu of degreeWork on-site at Stafford VirginiaExtensive experience with RHEL Operating systemsFamiliar with Windows Operating Systems/Active DirectoryTS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain a CI polygraphPrior to start obtain a (IAT) level II or higher (i.e. Security +) .Familiar with Compliance/Vulnerability Monitoring with tools such as Nessus, HBSS and ACASPreferred Qualifications:Knowledge of the following: Hycu backup/recovery software or other backup/recovery software; Nutanix virtual environment, or other platforms such as VMWare; Elastic Search Stack (ELK);Web (Brower based) GUI front end development (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Angular)Experience with hardening Linux OS and applications to required configurations (e.g. DISA STIGs)Configuration Management experience working with software version control tools (Jira’s Bamboo, Stash, GIT, Subversion)Risk Management Framework (RMF)Linux and / or Windows system administration experienceNetwork troubleshooting skillsExperience with scripting languages (Bash, Python) or othersPrimary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
