Air Reserve Technician (ART) Enlisted Position

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) involved in the installing, troubleshooting, interrogating, programing/reprograming, adjusting, testing, modifying, calibrating, and repairing of complex integrated aircraft electrical and environmental systems and equipment on board conventional/nuclear certified aircraft supported by the organization and to provide training to and evaluation of all assigned personnel, e.g., Active Duty, Reservist, Civilians, Contractors and foreign military as required in the accomplishment of duties set forth herein.

Duties include:

• Performs troubleshooting of complex integrated electrical/environmental systems of related on/off equipment for assigned and/or transient aircraft to include support equipment.
• Installs, inspects, modifies, repairs, services, replaces, adjusts and overhauls complex integrated electrical/environmental systems, both on and off equipment.
• Performs final functional and operational tests of complex integrated electrical/environmental systems, both on and off equipment.
• Prepares/executes effective training plans to maximize training for all assigned personnel, e.g., Active Duty, Reservist, Civilians, Contractors and foreign military.
• Utilizes safety practices and tool control procedures following established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean work area. Documents/recommends methods to improve equipment performance, technical data, and maintenance procedures by reporting malfunctions, initiating product quality deficiency reports both on equipment and in technical data, and assists in design changes as necessary.

• This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP). The employee is subject to random drug testing.
