This position is responsible for processing low-value procurement transactions, managing purchase orders, maintaining procurement databases, and generating reports to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure smooth procurement operations.The Purchasing Coordinator II will execute low-value, non-complex procurement transactions and releases to previously negotiated strategic agreements under management supervision. This role requires collecting, organizing, and analyzing procurement data from multiple sources to create supply chain management-wide and program-specific reports on supplier cost, delivery, and quality metrics. The coordinator will manage purchase orders through their lifecycle, including tracking, supplier follow-up, and supporting closeout/payables processes to ensure contractual compliance. They will gather and distribute procurement documentation such as drawings, specifications, and statements of work from various data sources. The position involves maintaining procurement databases with high accuracy by entering, extracting, and updating information to support procurement agents and maintain data integrity. The coordinator will communicate effectively with procurement agents, internal stakeholders, and suppliers to resolve procurement cycle issues, identify and help resolve procurement discrepancies related to quotes, billing, contracts, and other documentation. Additionally, they will support Procurement Agents in completing procurement transactions and post-purchase order activities, while coordinating, scheduling, and leading procurement-related meetings with team members and stakeholders.About YouOur mission is driven by an unyielding commitment to advancing space-based technology in service of our customers and safeguarding national security. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED2-3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or administrative support rolesProficiency in Microsoft Excel for creating procurement reports and data analysisCompetency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook for procurement documentation and communicationDemonstrated ability to complete low-value procurement transactions under supervisionExperience with purchase order tracking and supplier follow-upAccuracy in database management and data entryStrong communication skills with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to identify and help resolve procurement discrepanciesExperience in coordinating and scheduling meetingsPreferred QualificationsAssociate degree in business, supply chain management, or related fieldExperience as a Procurement Coordinator/AdministratorAdvanced Excel skills for complex data analysis and reportingExperience creating and maintaining supplier performance metricsKnowledge of procurement systems and databasesExperience with technical documentation managementDemonstrated ability to lead procurement-related meetingsExperience supporting closeout/payables processesStrong problem-solving skills related to procurement cycle issuesExperience collaborating with cross-functional teamsCompensationPay Range:$20.72 - $28.50Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.Elevate Your CareerAt Sierra Space, we are committed to your personal and professional development.
