Finance Associate

A Boston-based organization is looking to add a Finance Associate to its growing team. This is an early-career opportunity for someone with a strong accounting or finance foundation who is interested in developing their career within the real estate industry. The Associate will work alongside experienced finance professionals and assist with a variety of accounting, analytical, and operational responsibilities. The position provides broad exposure to financial processes while offering the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as experience develops. RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with recurring accounting and financial activities. Prepare reconciliations and review account activity for accuracy. Maintain financial schedules and supporting documentation. Assist with cash tracking and transaction processing. Research and resolve differences identified during reconciliations. Prepare information used for internal financial reporting. Assist with quarterly and annual finance activities. Gather financial information from internal and external contacts. Assist with budgeting and planning activities. Prepare documentation requested as part of audit and tax processes. Work with senior team members on financial analysis and reporting. Help ensure financial deadlines and deliverables are completed on time. Participate in special projects across the finance team. Look for opportunities to make recurring processes more efficient through technology and automation. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline. 0–2 years of accounting, finance, audit, or related professional experience. Internship experience will be considered for recent graduates. Interest in building a career within real estate finance. Strong Excel skills. Comfortable working with financial data and learning new systems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to organize work and manage multiple deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Collaborative approach and willingness to learn from more experienced team members. Ability to work independently as responsibilities increase. Motivated to learn and grow within a fast-paced finance environment.
