Accountant II

Pay Range: $76,754 – $97,628 (Exempt)/year with excellent benefits package Responsibilities Financial Reporting Accounting and ERP system problem-solving General Ledger and sub-ledger monitoring Internal control monitoring and analysis Systems: Tyler/Munis (ERP), OnBase, Benchmark (CMS), Landmark (RMS), and other subsystems Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university. At least five years of professional accounting experience. Candidate for or possession of CPA, CGFO, or CPFO certification. Knowledge of governmental accounting and financial reporting for state and local governments. Thorough understanding of accounting systems and internal controls. Strong knowledge and experience in grant and project reporting. Experience analyzing and solving accounting and financial reporting problems. Ability to work with county management and stakeholders in outside departments and agencies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience writing narratives for financial reports, internal control documentation, procedures, and training documents. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that would provide the required competencies will be considered. Position open until filled.
