DevOps Engineer

AgreeYa is a global Systems Integrator and is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the middleware team supporting customer-facing applications and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AWS, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, containerization, automation, and production support.

The role involves designing and managing scalable, secure AWS infrastructure, automating deployments, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting production issues, and collaborating closely with software and infrastructure engineering teams.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of hands-on Cloud/DevOps Engineering experience with a strong focus on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, ECS/EKS, VPC, RDS, S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong scripting experience with Shell/Bash and Python.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, preferably AWS EKS.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, firewalls, DNS, and load balancers.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting production and non-production environments end-to-end.
• Knowledge of application/middleware servers and modern container-based environments.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, performance metrics, capacity management, and instrumentation.
• Ability to troubleshoot common deployment/build issues including memory, disk, libraries, certificates, and configuration issues.
• Experience with security, IAM policies, compliance, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience performing root cause analysis for critical technical issues.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Experience with cloud performance tuning, cost analysis, and resource rightsizing.
• Experience supporting upgrades, patching, migrations, and hotfixes.
• Experience planning and executing deployments across Regression, Performance, Production, and Post-production environments.
• Strong collaboration skills with software engineers and other infrastructure/DevOps teams.
• Experience working on middleware modernization, from monolithic platforms to modern cloud-native architectures.
• Strong understanding of scalability, security, performance, and production operations.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent practical experience may be considered.
