Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer

Salary: $91,233 - 121,644 per year Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, material and information flow, workstation design, shop-floor execution, and lean practices.
• Ability to apply lean concepts to process and system design, document business requirements and process flows, define use cases and user experience needs, and establish testing expectations.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders across manufacturing, engineering, operations, IT, and leadership; strong facilitation, presentation, communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to mentor and coach colleagues, encourage change adoption, manage multiple priorities, and contribute in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
• Strong business acumen, adaptability, initiative, and commitment to team success, continuous learning, and practical solutions.
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Five or more years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, operations, continuous improvement, systems implementation, or related process improvement work preferred.
• Experience with production process design, material and information flow, and continuous improvement preferred.
• Experience supporting ERP, MES, or other manufacturing technology implementations preferred; D365 experience is beneficial.
• Experience leading project tasks, facilitating group discussions, and communicating with business and technical stakeholders required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools and developing clear documentation, presentations, and stakeholder updates required.
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% and 50%.

• Define business processes and requirements for ERP manufacturing functions, including picking, fabrication, assembly, material movement, quality, labor, and packaging.
• Assess current and future-state processes using lean principles; identify waste, improve flow, and align system design with efficient manufacturing execution.
• Lead cross-functional requirements gathering through interviews, workshops, value stream mapping, and shop-floor observation.
• Turn manufacturing needs into business requirements, process flows, user experience expectations, test scenarios, training needs, and governance standards.
• Partner with operations, engineering, IT, business process owners, and site stakeholders to align future-state processes with production needs and lean practices.
• Guide workstation and production execution design, including operator interfaces, material visibility, pick lists, work order status, displays, and workflows.
• Identify requirements related to constraints, part reordering, labor distribution, training tracking, performance KPIs, and production visibility.
• Use structured problem-solving to identify root causes and process gaps, then recommend practical system-enabled improvements.
• Lead project activities, assign follow-up actions, coordinate resources, and deliver work to completion.
• Communicate project updates, decisions, milestones, issues, and recommendations to team members, leaders, and key stakeholders.
• Travel to support site engagement, process discovery, implementation, training, and cross-functional alignment.
