Job Overview: The Case Aide provides trauma-informed services to refugees and other qualified immigrants to support a positive resettlement experience and long-term self-sufficiency. This role assists clients in accessing essential services, supports caseworkers in implementing service plans, and facilitates connections to community resources. The Case Aide plays a vital role in helping clients overcome barriers, stay engaged with their individualized plans, and navigate complex systems while ensuring accurate documentation and strong communication with partners. Major Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Assist clients in accessing essential services such as housing, healthcare, transportation, childcare, and other resources.
- Support caseworkers in implementing individualized self-sufficiency and employability plans through encouragement, reminders, and practical support.
- Facilitate connections to community programs that promote integration and economic stability; help clients utilize available resources effectively.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and input information into internal databases.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with IRC staff, service providers, and community partners to enhance service delivery.
- Provide transportation or accompany clients to appointments, job interviews, and service agencies as needed.
- Assist with referrals, scheduling, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Provide interpretation services when qualified and appropriate.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma required;
- At least 1 year of relevant experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working with refugee or immigrant populations preferred.
- Strong relationship-building, diplomacy, and networking skills.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; detail-oriented.
- Problem-solver with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital tools for data entry and research.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English required; proficiency in refugee/immigrant languages preferred.
- Valid driver's license, active insurance policy, and access to reliable transportation.
- Must possess or be eligible to receive a fingerprint clearance card per Arizona state law.
- A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and 'field' time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.
- May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
- Must be able to lift 35 to 50 pounds (furniture, household supplies, and food boxes).
Compensation: ($18.45). Compensation is based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.
