Summary  Performs repetitive sanitation/cleaning operations to assist operations in the production of rolls and bread products. Will be responsible to adhere to food safety, quality and legality principles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Will work with and around large processing equipment in which chemicals will be used to complete the sanitation cleaning process. Will be required to read and follow instructions for chemical usage and cleaning specifications as set by the manufacturer to clean various surfaces, equipment, etc.

Will work in a team environment, at times under stressful conditions, to perform various cleaning and maintenance tasks per the supervisor's instructions and in accordance with all safety guidelines established and enforced at Costanzo's.

Regularly will perform general cleaning and maintenance of structural components such as walls, floors, HVAC units and ductwork, lights, pipes, windows and ceilings, etc. Continuously sanitizes and cleans work area to maintain food safe environment.

Will be required to perform janitorial type cleaning of office areas, common areas, restrooms, and such as scheduled or requested.

As certified forklift operator, safely drives vehicle to transport materials within the plant, perform cleaning task and such. Uses proper safety precautions at all times.

Adheres to all Safety and GMP policies and procedures at all times. Will perform all tasks safely and in a manner that will not create or pose a direct threat to the health and/or safety of the sanitation worker or any other associate.

Properly documents all sanitation activities to accurately reflect cleaning activities completed utilizing all/any required sanitation forms or documents during their work day.

Flexible and adaptable to assigned tasks outside of the normal routine sanitation and janitorial duties on occasion.

All other tasks as required.

Education and/or Experience

Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Qualifications

Must be able to work overtime to meet production and sanitation deadlines this includes weekend work.
