Floating District Trash Collector
Community Concierge Services (CCS) is hiring District Porters in the Concord, NC area to collect doorstep trash and recycling from apartment communities. This is a part-time evening job perfect for anyone looking for supplemental income, a second job, or side work with a flexible night schedule.
No experience required. Company truck provided. Paid training.
What You'll Earn
- $175 per day (flat rate per shift)
- Company pickup truck provided - no wear and tear on your personal vehicle
- W2 employee position (not 1099 contractor)
- Direct deposit on the 5th and 20th of each month
- 2035 hours per week average, up to 5 shifts available
- Advancement opportunities - top performers earn additional shifts and promotions
Schedule
- SundayThursday: 7:00 PM 3:00 AM (Sundays start at 6pm), with on-call availability until 3:00 AM
- Friday & Saturday: 6:00 PM 2:00 AM (weekend shifts not currently required in this market; every-other-weekend availability needed if added)
- Shift length: 7-8 hours per night
- Perfect for: college students, second-job seekers, early risers, retirees, gig workers, and anyone needing daytime hours free
What You'll Do as a District Porter
- Drive a company-provided pickup truck to assigned apartment communities
- Collect bagged trash and recycling from residents' doorsteps
- Transport waste to the onsite compactor or dumpster
- Keep compactor and trash chute areas broom-swept and clean
- Replace dog station bags and common area waste bags
- Provide friendly, professional service to residents
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with 5+ years of clean driving history (required for company truck eligibility)
- Smartphone with active data plan for route management
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb stairs, and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and professional
- Active bank account for direct deposit
- Must be 18+
