Overview Weave (YC W25) is building the definitive platform for understanding and improving how engineering teams work. We believe the way engineering output is measured today is fundamentally broken and that modern AI can give teams a far more accurate and actionable view of productivity, impact, and collaboration. We've raised a $4.2M seed round and are backed by Moonfire, Burst Capital, and Y Combinator (W25). As Weave’s Founding Creative Marketer, you will shape the product story, create compelling content, and own launches that drive pipeline, signups, and brand. You will bring a product marketing manager, content engineer, creative director, and video producer role together. The Team You’ll Work With Andrew (CTO) – former founding engineer at Causal, MIT alum. Adam (CEO) – former sales executive at multiple high‑growth startups and owner of the sales function. This small, intense, highly collaborative team gives you real ownership from day one. The Role This isn't a traditional marketing role. The closest description is a mash‑up of product marketing manager, content engineer, creative director, and video producer. You’ll be responsible for shaping the product story, writing copy, editing videos, designing graphics, and shipping campaigns. Your launches must feel inevitable, primed by content, sequenced across channels, and impossible to ignore. This is a rare early‑career opportunity to take real ownership over launches that move the business – end to end, measured on pipeline, signups, and brand impact. If your idea of fun is reverse‑engineering why a startup launch went viral, scripting and cutting a launch video at midnight, and arguing with the CEO about the hook, this is the role. Responsibilities Own launches end to end – plan, sequence, ship tier‑1 product launches. Positioning, naming, launch video, LinkedIn thread, landing page, customer quotes, follow‑on content. Build the creative – create assets directly (videos, ads, landing pages, blog graphics, demo edits, social cuts) without waiting for freelancers. Build the content engine – write and edit posts, threads, blogs, case studies, and launch collateral for target customers. Run the growth playbook – design, run, and measure experiments across organic social, paid, SEO, lifecycle, partnerships, and community. Partner with product – sit in scoping meetings, push back on launches that won’t land, sharpen launches that will. Build the brand – ensure every touchpoint reinforces Weave as the obvious choice for engineering teams. Be flexible – write copy, edit videos, brief podcasts, design, or wire attribution pipelines as needed. Qualifications – Must‑Have Proven track record on launch videos – scripted, shot, edited, shipped content that drove pipeline. Experience going viral on X and LinkedIn repeatedly (not a one‑off post). Advanced editing chops – Premiere, After Effects, Figma, CapCut, motion, sound design, pacing. Exceptional writing – LinkedIn post, blog, and launch announcement that drives shares. Product taste – can differentiate a worthwhile launch from a waste. Fast owner of outcomes – write brief, ship, report. Cares about developer tools – understands the audience. Nice to Have Experience at an early‑stage startup (Seed to Series B) – even if not marketing. Background marketing developer tools, AI/ML platforms, or infrastructure software. Editorial or journalism background with high writing bar. Shipped a product, run a side project, or worked closely with engineers. Owned a newsletter, YouTube channel, or creator account that grew via quality work.
