Student Support Specialist The Student Support Specialist is a full-time, non-classified, exempt position that is supervised by the College Program Director. Specialists are responsible for providing academic, social, and independent living support to college students enrolled in the center’s College Program for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Position Information Position Title: Student Support Specialist Banner Position Number: 001468 E-Class: NC - Nonclassified - .53 or > Department: ASD College Program - MU2432 Salary Range: 38,000-50,000 - Salary is Commensurate with education and experience Salary Type: Salary Time Type: Full-Time Work Location: MU - Marshall University Benefits Work week is 37.5 hours. A great highlight in December: employees receive almost two weeks off for Winter Break. Holidays – Employees receive 13 paid holidays. Annual and Sick Leave – Classified Staff, Non-Classified Staff and 12-month Faculty earn up to 24 days of annual leave per year (max 360 hours) and up to 18 days of sick leave per year. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in a human or social services discipline is required. Experience: Professional or personal experience supporting individuals living with Autism Spectrum Disorder is preferred. Familiarity with university systems of student support is preferred. Preferred Qualifications Education: Master’s degree in a human or social service is preferred.
