Life Regional Vice President, (REMOTE+TRAVEL)

Equitable is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Regional Vice President (External Wholesaler) to join our Life Insurance team. In this role, you will partner with Independent Financial Professionals and Independent Broker-Dealers to position life insurance as a key component of holistic wealth planning and asset location strategies. This role will focus on educating advisors on the value of life insurance as a tax-advantaged asset, including applications related to IRC Section 7702, while helping clients incorporate life insurance into broader financial and retirement planning discussions. This position offers a remote work arrangement plus up to 50% travel for business needs. Periodic office visits may be requested based on business needs. Responsibilities What You’ll Be Doing The RVP is directly responsible for developing and maintaining consultative relationships with Independent Broker Dealers The RVP role is the Key Driver of revenue in their territory, including accountability for achieving and exceeding territory sales targets and territory management (APE) Develop new producers while retaining existing producers to grow market share Educate and train advisors on Equitable’ s Life products The career model for this position is Wholesaler III and the paygrade is W6. Equitable Pay and Benefits : Equitable Total Rewards Program Required Qualifications What You Will Bring 7+ years of Life Insurance industry experience Experience in Direct Sales of Life Insurance products Life and Health insurance licenses FINRA Series 6 & 63 registrations, active upon hire Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required Preferred Qualifications FINRA Series 7 highly desired Exceptional communication/interpersonal skills with good computer and organizational skills Willingness to travel up to 50% Skills Effective Presentations: Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques; ability to present information to groups with the appropriate degree of formality. Financial Services Industry: Knowledge of financial services industry trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations and trendsetters; ability to provide specific financial advice to clients. Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization. Knowledge of Sales Channels: Knowledge of meanings and features of sales channels; ability to coordinate multiple and diverse options for selling an organization's products and services. Producing Results: Understanding of the criticality of getting things done in spite of current circumstances and the ability to utilize assigned resources and leverage back-channel resources (individuals or teams) to achieve or exceed planned outcomes. Prospecting: Knowledge of prospecting principles, processes and skills; ability to identify and engage potential customers in the market. Territory Management: Knowledge of territory management practices, tools and techniques; ability to manage and maximize insurance business performance for one or multiple geographical area(s).
