Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Circulator for the Operating Room, requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications and at least three years of experience.
Details
Perioperative role providing intraoperative surgical care in the Operating Room and other perioperative services areas
Cares for all patient populations during surgical procedures
Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week, scheduled 0630-1900
Requires participation in a regular on-call rotation for the Surgery Unit
Travelers may be floated to other qualified departments before core staff
Requirements
Active RN license in the State of Oregon
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
TNCC certification required
Associate of Science in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
Minimum of three years of RN experience required
CNOR certification, Peri-op 101 course, and scrub experience preferred
Previous RN circulator experience preferred
CRASE training required if assignment extends beyond 6 months
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining composure
Strong communication and interpersonal skills across diverse patient populations

Act as patient advocate ensuring safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care
Direct and supervise assigned personnel during surgical procedures
Perform interventions to protect patients from injury, infection, and complications during surgery
Manage specimens, medications, and documentation according to policy
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support positive patient outcomes
Participate in required education programs applicable to the role
Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times
Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and teamwork in daily activities
