Responsibilities:The External Mortgage Originator will actively solicit mortgage loan referrals from external centers of influences (COI's) including but is not limited to realtors, builders, financial advisors, accountants, and previous clients. They will provide high quality counseling, advisement and educational prospective for borrowers regarding mortgage programs, rates and documentation requirements.Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of origination experience. Must have a thorough knowledge of pricing and underwriting requirements of various mortgage insurance companies, a working knowledge of credit underwriting and property eligibility requirements for FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA and local bond programs. Must be knowledgeable with local, state and national laws (e.g., Truth-in-Lending, RESPA, etc.) and must have necessary NMLS Licensing.
