Job Title: Order Coordinator

Assignment Type: Contract-to-Hire – 6-month contract with potential for permanent conversion

Pay: $18–$24/hour

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with a 1-hour unpaid lunch. This is an onsite position.

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an organized and dependable Order Coordinator to support the processing and fulfillment of customer orders. This individual will work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Production, Warehouse, and Operations to ensure orders are accurately processed and shipped according to customer timelines.

The ideal candidate has previous experience working with an ERP system and purchase orders , along with strong attention to detail and Excel skills. This role is well suited for someone who can follow established processes, work independently, and proactively communicate when issues may impact an order or shipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate customer orders from initial processing through final shipment, ensuring required materials and documentation are in place.
• Partner with Sales, Supply Chain, Production, Warehouse, and Operations teams to keep orders on track and meet customer deadlines.
• Monitor purchase orders, production requirements, inventory needs, and other order-related activities.
• Enter and maintain accurate order information and transactions within the ERP system.
• Review and organize shipping and order documentation, including pick tickets, packing lists, Bills of Lading, and material documentation.
• Ensure completed order documentation is accurate and ready for invoicing.
• Communicate inventory, product availability, material, or fulfillment issues to the appropriate internal teams.
• Follow up with Sales regarding missing customer or shipping information that could delay an order.
• Assist with outbound shipment scheduling and provide support for truck coordination as needed.
• Prepare shipping documentation and other operational paperwork.
• Track potential delays and communicate updates to the appropriate stakeholders.
• Assist with additional operational projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Approximately 2+ years of experience in order coordination, purchasing, procurement, supply chain, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience using an ERP system is required.
• Hands-on purchase order experience is required.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Ability to accurately follow established processes and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable and comfortable working independently.
• Strong communication and follow-through skills.
• Manufacturing, oil and gas, supply chain, or distribution experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience is valued.

Additional Details:

• This is an onsite office position.
• Consistent availability from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM is required.
• Candidates should be comfortable working within established processes and maintaining accuracy rather than frequently changing procedures.
• Training will be provided by the hiring team, with additional support from the organization's corporate team.
• Interview process includes an initial virtual interview followed by an onsite interview.
• The team is looking for someone who can start quickly.
