Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgical Intensive Care Unit Job Type: Regular Job Summary The Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse for our Surgical Intensive Care Unit located in Edgewood Hospital. Unit: 16‑bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit Shift: Night Shift 7 PM – 7 AM Hours: 36 hours per week, Full‑time Location: Edgewood Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), Edgewood Hospital Job Description The licensed registered nurse will provide evidence‑based clinical care to designated patients utilizing the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation—according to established ethical and cultural codes and standards of nursing practice. The role includes working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient outcomes, demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness and empathy toward patients, families, visitors and staff regardless of cultural background. Qualifications Education, Credentials, Licenses: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; licensed to practice in the state where work is performed; meets contact hour requirements for licensure. Specialized Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge of nursing theory, clinical practice standards, procedures, policies, and competence in mathematical calculations for medication administration. Competent to independently perform safe nursing skills and procedures. Experience: Successful completion of a preceptorship and orientation to the facility and clinical area; able to critically think and problem‑solve in routine and emergency situations.
