Responsibilities Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components to specification Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate part production Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, and back gauges for each job Perform in-process quality checks using calipers, protractors, and other measuring instruments Maintain tight tolerances and adhere to precision sheet metal fabrication standards Perform routine machine maintenance and report any equipment issues promptly Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with shop safety protocols Requirements Prior experience operating a press brake in a sheet metal or metal fabrication environment Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as calipers and angle finders Knowledge of tooling setup, die selection, and back gauge programming Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, precise parts Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines in a fast-paced shop environment Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player with a positive work ethic About Us Ergomet Inc Precision Sheet Metal Mfg Co has built a strong reputation in Ward Hill, MA as a trusted provider of high-quality precision sheet metal fabrication.
