Contract (13 Weeks) | Rotating Days and Nights (7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) | 72 hours biweekly guaranteed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 25-bed Medical-Surgical unit with a focus on geriatric patients presenting with conditions such as CHF, COPD, and diabetes
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–1:5 during day shifts and 1:6 during night shifts
• Float to the Emergency Department within scope of competency as needed
• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR and operate Care Scape patient monitors
• Administer and manage medications using Pyxis dispensing system
• Participate in every-other-weekend and holiday rotation; available for on-call and call-back assignments with a minimum 2-hour call-back requirement

Required Qualifications

• Current Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Prior ICU and Emergency Department experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR, Care Scape patient monitors, and Pyxis medication dispensing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Prior travel or contract nursing experience, particularly in colder-climate regions such as the Midwest, Northeast, or Mountain areas
