Telecommuter remote work is allowed for reasonable driving distance to LM assigned suppliers. Responsibilities The selected candidate will be responsible for achieving total quality performance across multiple sites for strategic suppliers producing major airframe and systems components. Lead the supplier through the process of developing and executing plans that ensure long‑term flow of defect‑free products in support of LM Aero production. Collaborate with functional organizations and leadership at supplier sites and LM Aero to solve technical and contractual issues, ensuring supplier performance is aligned with quality goals while sustaining production delivery requirements. Apply root cause analysis, Cause Mapping, Cause & Effect diagrams, Pick Charts, and structured RCCA for effective corrective action. Use GD&T, inspection methods, tooling, AS9100, AS9102, Six Sigma, PDCA, PFMEA, Mistake Proofing, Gap Analysis, and preventive tools. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college. Ample experience with root cause and corrective action (RCCA). Experience developing and maintaining effective customer relationships and adapting to a highly dynamic environment. Experience in quality science, quality engineering, or subcontract management. Experience implementing supplier improvement activities. Knowledge of GD&T, inspection methods, tooling, AS9100, AS9102, Six Sigma, PDCA, PFMEA, Mistake Proofing, Gap Analysis. Knowledge and effective application of root cause analysis, Cause Mapping, Cause & Effect diagrams, Pick Charts, and structured RCCA. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Security clearance: Secret (government security clearance required). Desired Skills Major assembly or F‑35 experience. F‑35 Program knowledge, including GD&T requirements, material and process specifications, and schematics. Familiarity with manufacturing and inspection techniques for metallic machined, composite laminate or bonded assemblies, air vehicle and mission systems, and hydraulic or pneumatic components. Experience planning and executing AS9102 First Article Inspection based requirements. Experience developing performance improvement plans such as return‑to‑green, zero‑defect, or supplier excellence plans. Green Belt or Black Belt, CQE certification. Proficiency in statistical analysis, control, sampling, Six Sigma, FAI, PPAP, PFMAE process auditing, or validation, root cause analysis, corrective action validation, and supplier quality management. Experience interacting with government customers (JPO, DCMA, DoD). Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration, communication, and presentations at working and leadership levels.
