About the Position

# Job Opportunity – High Risk OB / Labor & Delivery RN – Tennessee

Start Date: August 31, 2026

Location: Nashville, Tennessee

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3 weekend shifts per schedule period; patient ratios range from 1:1 to 6:1 based on acuity; floating to other obstetric units as needed

Highlights:

• 25-bed High Risk OB unit within a dedicated Women's and Children's facility
• Comprehensive case mix including high-risk antepartum care, labor and delivery, cesarean sections, magnesium drip management, gynecological cases, and bereavement care
• Electronic documentation systems in place for streamlined charting and patient care coordination
• Charge nurse and clinical support on each shift with unit secretary availability
• Opportunity to circulate in c-sections and provide full-spectrum obstetric nursing care
• Float rotation limited to obstetric areas: labor and delivery, mother baby, and OB/ED units

Requirements:

• Active RN license in Tennessee (or compact state eligibility)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN
• High-risk antepartum nursing experience required
• Labor and delivery experience, including vaginal deliveries and cesarean section support
• Demonstrated competency with magnesium drip protocols and high-acuity maternal care
• Gynecological nursing experience preferred
