Collections Specialist – Buchanan, NY (Full Time, In Person) Pay Rate: $21 – $24 per hour JP McHale Pest Management is a leading provider of comprehensive pest management solutions for residential and commercial clients in the NY and CT area. Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our administrative team. The Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, actively pursuing outstanding payments from clients, and maintaining positive customer relationships. This role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills, with a strong understanding of financial processes and customer service in a service‑based industry. Duties and Responsibilities Daily review of accounts receivable report, identifying outstanding balances, and tracking the status of each account. Making phone calls, sending emails, and/or text notifications to debtors to discuss overdue payments and negotiate payment plans. Addressing customer queries, investigating billing discrepancies, and assisting with payment disputes. Keeping detailed records of all contacts with debtors, payment arrangements, and any resolutions reached. Collaborating with other departments, such as accounting or customer service, to ensure efficient collections and customer satisfaction. Becoming knowledgeable about company products and services, pricing structure, and ensuring correct application of billing fees, rates and schedules. Multi‑tasking and following through with details accurately and completely. Job Requirements High school diploma or GED (Associate degree preferred). At least 2 years of experience in office administration. Strong negotiation and problem‑solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
