Every day at Raytheon our extraordinary engineers are empowered for excellence and inspired to invent in an inclusive environment where work-life balance is an elegant solution, not a slogan.What You Will DoDesign, develop, and maintain software for aerospace and defense applications, ensuring robust functionality and reliability.Implement, test, and debug software solutions to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.Collaborate with systems engineering, hardware engineering, and other teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance.Participate in code reviews, testing procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software quality and development processes.Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.Document software designs, test results, and troubleshooting processes for future referenceQualifications You Must HaveBachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or Java.Understanding of software development life cycles, including Agile methodologies.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Qualifications We PreferKnowledge of DevOps and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and secure software development methodologies.Experience leveraging Generative AI and Machine Learning to improve productivity, collaboration, and performanceFamiliarity with real-time embedded systems or aerospace/defense applications.Experience with version control tools such as Git.Exposure to Open Systems Architectures and modular design principles.Exposure to cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices.Experience with software testing and debugging tools.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.What We Offer:Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world.
