A Nurse Manager of Med-Surg is needed at a 99-bed acute-care facility in Irving, TX — a Level III Trauma Center (American College of Surgeons) and Certified Primary Stroke Center (The Joint Commission) that also holds a Certified Total Hip and Knee Replacement program, Accreditation for Bariatric Surgery (MBSAQIP), Level II Maternal Care Center designation, and a Level II NICU program.

The role. The Nurse Manager provides 24/7 leadership for all Med-Surg departmental functions, maintaining alignment of systems and resources with broader business trends while balancing patient care, service delivery, and financial stewardship. Day-to-day operational oversight spans payroll, hiring, scheduling, orientation, competency validation for new and existing staff, and annual performance evaluations. The manager also serves as a coach and mentor, building effective working relationships with patients, families, physicians, peers, and interdepartmental colleagues to keep the unit moving forward.

What we're looking for.

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required
• Texas State RN or RN Compact License acceptable under eNLC guidelines
• Previous recent Department Director or Manager experience required; will also consider a strong Charge Nurse Coordinator looking to step into a Manager role
• Minimum of 2+ years of recent acute care Med/Surg experience required

Schedule. Full-time, days, no weekends.

Compensation. $40.79 - $61.19/hr plus $15,000 sign-on bonus
