About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU (PACU Setting)

Philadelphia, PA | PACU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3 x 12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week | Unit operating hours Monday 7:00 AM through Saturday 7:00 PM, no Sundays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to ICU boarder patients housed within the PACU unit, with an expected patient population of trauma overflow
• Assess, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans under the direction of a licensed physician using the nursing process
• Collaborate with patients, family members/significant others, professional peers, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to individualize care
• Direct nursing support staff in the provision of patient care in accordance with standards of nursing practice and departmental policies and procedures
• May float to the ED for ICU holds or to other ICU/Step-down units based on need and census

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) License required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an ICU or relevant clinical specialty area
• Previous trauma training is a plus, though not required
