Medical Assistant

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will support an Otolaryngology clinic by performing clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced outpatient setting. This temp-to-hire role requires at least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in adult outpatient care, and involves patient rooming, autoclaving, and high-level disinfecting. The candidate must be local and open to permanent placement following the contract period. Responsibilities:

• Assist clinicians by rooming patients and preparing them for exams.
• Perform autoclaving and high-level disinfecting of medical instruments and equipment.
• Support clinical workflows in a fast-paced otolaryngology outpatient clinic.
• Chart patient information accurately using EPIC electronic health records.
• Float between Issaquah and Ballard otolaryngology clinics as needed within skillset.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Minimum 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in adult outpatient care.
• MA-C preferred; MA-R acceptable if necessary.
• Proficient in clinical tasks including patient rooming and instrument sterilization.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Familiarity with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems.
• Willingness to commit to a temp-to-hire opportunity.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in an Otolaryngology (ENT) clinical setting.
• Previous training or experience with autoclaving and high-level disinfecting.

Special Considerations:

• This is a temp-to-hire position requiring candidates to be local within a 50-mile radius.
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call duties are required.
• Candidate must be open to permanent employment at the end of the contract.
• Floating between clinic locations may be required based on manager discretion.

Scheduling:

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, no weekends or holidays.
• Five 8-hour shifts per week.
