Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg \n Discipline: RN \n Start Date: 09/16/2026 \n Duration: 13 weeks \n 36 hours per week \n Shift: 12 hours, days, nights, rotating \n Employment Type: Travel \n \n \n Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med Surg / Swing Bed / ER (Combined Unit) \n VMS Req ID / Source: 1172060 / MedicalSolutions \n Location: SMP Health - St Andrews, Bottineau, North Dakota (316 Ohmer St) \n Specialty: Med Surg / Healthcare - RN \n Compensation & Schedule Details \n \n Hours & Shift: 36 hours per week (12-hour shifts; Day/Night rotation with modified self-scheduling). \n Contract Length: Travel contract \n Target Start Date: September 2, 2026 (or ASAP per onboarding) \n Scheduling: Weekend requirement is every other to every 3rd weekend. Holiday rotation as needed. No on-call requirement. \n \n Key Facility Policies & Unit Guidelines \n \n Unit Scope & Floating: 25-bed facility. All positions work across acute Med/Surg, Swing Bed, and the Emergency Room (float requirements include Med-Surg/Swing bed to ER, and ER to Med-Surg/Swing bed). \n Respiratory & Technical Duties: There is no Respiratory Therapy (RT) on site —nurses are responsible for drawing ABGs, administering breathing treatments, and performing 12-lead EKGs. \n Patient Ratios: 1:3–6 for Med-Surg; 1:10–13 for Swing Bed. \n Dress Code: Any color or print scrubs with closed-toe shoes. \n \n Requirements & Qualifications \n \n Experience: Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg experience required. \n Licensure: Active North Dakota (ND) RN license or compact state license. \n Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS required. \n Advanced Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting Philips telemetry strips, titrating drips (insulin, heparin, etc.), accessing/de-accesssing ports, managing PICC lines, wound care/Wound Vacs, and mixing/preparing medications. \n \n About Malone Healthcare - Nursing\n \n With a commitment to providing a higher standard of service and experience in patient care, Malone Healthcare places expert nurses and allied health professionals in rewarding careers throughout the United States.
