Compensation: $140K to $160K base plus annual performance bonus

The Opportunity

Seeking a Tax Manager on behalf of a well established, growing real estate organization. You will be the company's tax expert, owning partnership tax from the calculations through review and serving as the go to resource when leadership weighs new markets and new ventures.

What You Will Own

• Prepare and review book to tax calculations across a portfolio of partnership entities

• Track partner capital and basis for investors across multiple ownership structures

• Manage the outside preparers handling federal and state return filings, and review their work

• Monitor multi state filing obligations as the footprint grows into new markets

• Research the tax impact of new ventures, structures, and locations and present clear recommendations

• Identify planning opportunities and stay ahead of regulatory changes

• Partner with the accounting team on tax accounting, controls, and property tax payments

• Serve as the point of contact for auditors on tax matters

What You Need

• 4 to 8+ years of direct tax experience in public accounting or industry

• Hands on Form 1065 preparation and review experience

• Working knowledge of partnership allocations, capital accounts, and basis tracking

• Federal and multi state income tax compliance experience

• Comfortable as a standalone tax lead who both does the work and owns the outcome

• Strong research skills and the ability to explain conclusions to non tax leaders

What Sets You Apart

• CPA

• Real estate, construction, or development tax experience is a plus

• Experience with multi entity structures and special purpose entities

• Background managing outsourced tax providers

• Exposure to tax planning for new partnerships or joint ventures

• Fully in office role in Nashville

• Peak season runs late January through mid March
