Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Supporting a large federal government healthcare modernization project, the full-time Senior API & Cloud Platform Engineer will design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and cloud-based integration services remotely, focusing on secure access to Department of Defense data. Key responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs for the Enterprise Data Access Service (EDAS) and TAG data products Define API contracts using OpenAPI specifications and implement secure, versioned APIs for enterprise interoperability Develop cloud-hosted application services on Microsoft Azure, ensuring scalability and high availability Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience, with 8+ years in software engineering 5+ years of experience in developing RESTful APIs and cloud-native applications using Microsoft Azure Strong expertise in REST APIs, OpenAPI, JSON, OAuth 2.0, and secure API design Proficiency in C#, Java, or Python, along with experience in Azure DevOps and cloud application development Demonstrated experience in designing scalable distributed systems and working within Agile teams
