Job Details Position: Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER RN) Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job Location: Asheville, NC 28801 Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Weekly Hours: 36 hours Shift: 12-hour nights Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640 - $1,730 Schedule: Every other weekend; scheduling based on department needs Setting: High-volume emergency department with a strong team culture and diverse patient population Job Requirements Current RN license in good standing Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience At least 1 year of recent emergency department nursing experience required Experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced ER setting preferred Ability to work across all areas of the emergency department Strong teamwork skills with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to changing department needs Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS ENPC required within 90 days of hire Cerner experience preferred Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients across a variety of acuity levels Assess, monitor, and prioritize patient care in a busy, high-volume emergency department Collaborate with physicians, ER techs, and unit staff to support efficient patient flow Deliver safe, effective care for medical patients, behavioral holds, and other emergency presentations Maintain clear communication and promote an excellent patient experience throughout the visit Use AIDET, respectful communication, and real-time patient updates to support service excellence Float to all sections within the ED as needed Document accurately in the electronic health record and support organized, timely charting Contribute to a positive, supportive nursing team culture focused on teamwork and flexibility Take the next step in your travel nursing career and apply now for this ER Registered Nurse opportunity in Asheville, North Carolina.
