As a Sea Logistics Customer Care Specialist, you will serve as a key point of contact for customers, helping manage inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a consistent customer experience. You do not need previous freight forwarding experience to be successful in this role. We are looking for someone with strong customer service skills, a reliable work ethic, and the ability to learn new processes in a fast-paced environment.

How You Create Impact

You will support customers throughout their experience with Kuehne+Nagel while working closely with operations and other internal teams to provide accurate and timely information.

• Respond to customer inquiries through email, phone, and other communication channels
• Provide accurate information regarding shipments, accounts, products, and services
• Handle customer concerns and escalations professionally and work toward effective resolutions
• Partner with operations, sales, and other internal teams to address customer needs
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, issues, and follow-up activity
• Build strong customer relationships through consistent communication and service
• Manage multiple priorities while meeting response time, quality, and customer service expectations
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and the overall customer experience

What We Would Like You To Bring

You bring a strong customer service mindset, communicate clearly, and know how to stay organized while managing multiple priorities. You do not need previous freight forwarding experience to be successful in this role; we are looking for someone who is dependable, eager to learn, and able to build strong relationships with customers and teammates.

• Customer service experience, ideally in a customer care, call center, logistics, transportation, or similar environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle customer concerns professionally and work toward effective resolutions
• Strong problem-solving skills and good judgment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, team-oriented approach with a strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and industry terminology
• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
• High school diploma or GED

Previous experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or ocean freight is preferred, but not required. We are looking for someone with strong customer service skills, a dependable work ethic, and the ability to learn the logistics side of the role.

This position is budgeted at approximately $70,000 annually, paid on an hourly basis, and is eligible for overtime based on business needs. Base pay is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles.

Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. Kuehne+Nagel reviews pay ranges regularly to ensure competitive and fair pay based on industry market data.
