Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with ASAP start date
• 12-hour variable day, PM, and night shifts
• PM shifts start at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• On-call requirement of 12 hours per 6-week period with a 30-minute response time
• Call back minimum is 2 hours
• May be required to float to other locations: Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Work in a Trauma Level II, 18-bed emergency department unit
• Stroke certified unit serving cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory patients
• Fast-paced environment with a 3-4 patient ratio per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, performing nebulizer treatments, and charting in Epic
• Pyxis medication dispenser utilized on unit
• X-ray staff and respiratory therapy available on site
• Minimum 5 years of experience required with at least 1 year of travel experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted

Facility:

This facility is a Trauma Level II hospital featuring an 18-bed emergency department that is stroke certified and equipped to handle a wide range of medical specialties including cardiac, neurology, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory care. The emergency department operates as a fast-paced environment supported by in-house laboratory services, on-site X-ray staff, and respiratory therapy. The facility utilizes Epic electronic charting and Pyxis medication dispensing systems to support its clinical team.
